The Santander Women's Tour already has a 2023 calendar

  • The circuit will have ten tests this year throughout the Spanish geography, including the Spanish Championship, a doubles tournament, one in match play and two tournaments belonging to the LET Access Series.

This February 13, the eighth edition of the Santander Golf Tour was presented, a women's professional golf circuit made up of ten tests, which will be held throughout the year throughout Spain.

The presentation, at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, was attended by Gonzaga Escauriaza , president of the Spanish Golf Federation; Adela Martín , director of Private Banking, Asset Management and Insurance Spain; Felipe Martín , director of Media, Online Marketing, Sponsorships and Events at Santander Spain; Dr. Lucía González-Cortijo , head of the Medical Oncology Service and coordinator of the Breast and Gynecological Cancer Unit of the Quirónsalud University Hospital, Madrid, and president of the La Vida en Rosa Foundation; and Alicia Garrido , executive director of Sports and Business, the organizing company of the circuit.

 Gonzaga Escauriaza , president of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, has highlighted the continuity of this circuit, already consolidated, and thanked everyone present for promoting this magnificent sport: “I am especially grateful to Banco Santander for its commitment to women's golf, and to Deporte & Business, for the twenty years it has been promoting professional women's golf in Spain. Thank you for your perseverance and for dyeing this sport red. Women's golf is going to bring many joys and hopes to Spain in the coming years."

 For his part, Adela Martín , director of Private Banking, Asset Management and Insurance Spain, recalled the entity's commitment to athletes: “We have 10 tournaments in 10 cities, which will be attended by 800 of our best clients. We hope to have magnificent days shared by our players, who are the best ambassadors for the bank and private banking, and we are very excited to continue carrying the banner of the women's golf in Spain”.

 Felipe Martín , director of Media, Online Marketing, Sponsorships and Events at Santander Spain, recalled the bank's commitment to women's sports:  Santander Golf Tour perfectly reflects the bank's mission transferred to the world of sponsorship. Our mission is to help people and businesses prosper. Thanks to the Santander Golf Tour, the players have a national women's tournament in which they can develop and, above all, the youngest can take the opportunity to make that leap into the professional world. When we see the Spanish players succeed in the big circuits we always have that pride of having contributed our grain of sand to those successes for golf and Spanish sport ”.

For her part, the Dra. Lucía González-Cortijo , assured that she was very happy to be able to ally herself with Banco Santander and with women's golf. “I am especially excited to be linked to the La Vida en Rosa Foundation in this women's golf circuit. The Foundation was born in 2017. In addition to running, we have Pilates classes for cancer patients, Nordic walking. And what is collected this year in the circuit will go to strength exercises in cancer patients. All exercise is good, but in these patients, strength exercise is especially good. And we have a project at the Quirón Pozuelo Hospital to finance all those bonds so they can do these supervised exercises.”

Finally, Alicia Garrido , executive director of Sports & Business and director of the circuit, thanked all the sponsors and collaborators for their collaboration, as well as the media support that the circuit has. Alicia described some of the novelties of the season, in which she joins the La Vida en Rosa Foundation as a beneficiary of the charitable actions that are carried out in all the tournaments, and explained that the circuit will take a leap in quality with the incorporation of HSN as a new sponsor of the circuit. In addition, this year the circuit will have a great sporting incentive, and the winner of the 2023 ranking will obtain a place in the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open of Spain 2023 that will be played from November 23 to 26 at the Real Club from Golf las Brisas.

He Santander Golf Tour , a circuit sponsored by Banco Santander and Santander Private Banking, returns to the scene in its eighth edition with a very exciting year ahead. These are the confirmed tests and dates:

  1. Santander LETAS Girona, on March 1, 2 and 3 at Peralada Golf (Girona), the first of the two tournaments co-sanctioned with the LET Access Series, satellite circuit of the Ladies European Tour.
  2. Real Club Golf San Sebastián, on March 29 and 30.
  3. Burgos, at Lerma Golf, on April 19 and 20.
  4. Málaga, at Lauro Golf, where the already traditional doubles championship will be held on April 28 and 29.
  5. La Coruña, at the Real Club de Golf on May 24 and 25.
  6. Already in the month of October, the second event co-sanctioned with LETAS will be held, the Santander Golf Tour LETAS Zaragoza (RCG LA Peñaza), from October 26 to 28, and which will serve as the final culmination of the LET Access season. Series.
  7. In the month of November the four final tournaments of the circuit will be held. The first of them at El Bosque Golf, on November 4 and 5. Next, the circuit will move to the Real Golf de Pedreña, where the tournament will be held from November 8 to 10 under the format match play. The following week will see the other of the three special tournaments of the season, with the Pro-Am of Legends in Madrid, on November 14 and 15, at Golf Santander.

The finishing touch to the season will be, as usual, the Santander Spanish Championship for Women's Professionals, whose course is yet to be confirmed.
